Commercial Foods

 

The Commercial Foods Services is a work-skills program at Charles R. Drew Transition Center.  The program serves as an introduction to the study of the food service industry.  Drew's Commercial Food Services offer students the opportunity to develop skills which may allow them to effectively practice entry-level positions, such as cook, kitchen assistant or food service management trainee in all aspects of the industry, such as potential careers, equipment use/upkeep, food preparation and service, food storage, ordering and work simplification.   Students receive practical and theoretical experiences that allow them to work toward becoming competent and confident in their abilities to achieve success in the commercial food industry.
